Sacred Geometry: The Four Faces of God

From Initiation by Elisabeth Haich

"The four sides of the pyramid symbolize the four faces of God, each of which taken alone and by itself manifests the three aspects of the first source, the divinity at rest within itself and standing above all creation...
From every point of the universe God manifests himself four-fold.  In each of the four directions fo the earth and the sky he radiates with a different effect... the winds coming from the four different directions have completely different effects.

  • The north wind is dry, cool, with a quieting and paralysing effect.  In many parts of the world it even makes water hard as stone.
  • The south wind always brings heat as an arrousing, vitalizing effect.
  • The east wind is cool, refreshing.
  • The west wind brings warmth and dampness -- in many places rain.  Its effect is fatiguing and soporific.
The Four Faces of God

  • The first face - the north face - is fiery and has a vitalizing effect. That's why the south wind brings heat and stimulates living creatures to conceive new life.
  • The second - the west face - is airy and cool. It makes everything movable, and that's why the east wind is refreshing.
  • The third face of God - his eastern face - is damp, wet, and lukewarm.  It brings heaviness, inertia, warmth, dampness and precipitation, making all living creatures sleepy.  Their consciousness withdraws into their bodies.
  • And lastly the fourth face - the south face of God - is cold.  It has a contracting, astringent, crystallizing, materializing effect.  It brings cold and calms the nerves.

"Each face of God, each cardinal point of the vault of heaven, contains within itself the three aspects of the unmanifested divintiy, and so the twelve signs of the zodiac come into being.

The three fiery aspects of the first face of God, of the first group, are revealed in the three constellations called Aries, Leo and Sagittarius.  The Lion is the first manifestation of God and consequently the great father of the entire zodiac.  That's why all three manifestations of the first face of God have a fatherly, life-givine character.

  • The Ram - Aries - radiates the fire of youth, the procreative power of the young father who penetrates the bosom of nature, awakens new life, and sets it in motion.  The Ram is the power of spring which in its effect is just as wild and heedless, just as rammish as the ram itself.
  • The Lion is the fire of the perfectly developed, dignified and respectable man, the mature father who radiates his creative power, his love and warmth towards all his children as he brings them up in affectionate care.  The Lion is the power of summer.
  • The Centaur (Sagittarius) is a being that has grown beyond its animal nature, overcome it physical desires and aimed its consciousness twoards the high goal.

The three aspects of the second group, of the earthly-material face of God are: Taurus, Virgo and Capricornus, or the Bull, the Virgin and the Goat.  All three manifestations of this face of God reveal a motherly character.
  • The Bull radiation makes it possible for the divine self, the creative principle, the logos, to become flesh.  The Bull awakens the power of conception in matter - in the female of the species - calling the bride to readiness.
  • Virgo - the Virgin - is the spotless queen of heaven, the mother goddess of nature who has never been touched by a male and yet is pregnant with myriad creatures that are born from her divine body.
  • The third aspect of the earthly face of God is Capricornus, the Goat.  This animal lives in the region of the hardest matter on earth, stones, rocks and boulders.  The centripetal force of the law of matter cause matter to reach the highest degree of hardness and consequently crystallize.
The three aspects of the third group, the vaporous face of God, are Gemini, Libra and Aquarius, or the Twins, the Balance and the Water Bearer.
  • The sign of the Twins carries within itself the two halves of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil... The radiated power of Gemini manifests itself as the urge to learn.
  • The radiation of the Libra constellation forces everything into equilibrium.  All the experiences man has collected are laid in the scales of the balance and weighed.
  • The constellation Aquarius radiates the knowledge that has been gathered under the sign of the Twins, weighed in the balance, found worthwhile and codified into laws.
The three aspects of the fourth group, the aqueous face of God, are: the Crab, the Eagle (Scorpion) and Fishes, or Cancer, Scorpio and Pisces.
  • The Zodiacal sign Crab symbolizes the little water of the hole in which the crab lives.  After it has caught its prey outside, it withdraws into its hole to digest it... The radiated power of the zodiacal sign of the Crab manifests itself as the introspective, self-analysing consciousness of the truth-seeking individual.
  • The sign of the Scorpion-Eagle represents the great turning point when the crawling worm is transformed to the high flying eagle, redeemed, a being that has awakened and become conscious in the divine self.
  • The fishes [Pisces] dwell in the endless ocean... The effect of the sign of the Fishes is redemption, dissolving away the personal in the impersonal, in the depths of the limitless self, in the divine and indivisible unity of all one being."

Astrology of North/South Nodes

Astrology of North/South Nodes

  •  Gemini North Node (Sagittarius South Node) people have had two different kinds of past lives: as wandering spiritual hermits or philosopher kings. I love the idea that I was a Philosopher King and I know I've been a nun or a monk.

  • ‎"A tendency to hold beliefs and opinions without gathering the facts, to being self-righteous and running roughshod over others' feelings, to rushing through life and possessing excess nervous energy, and to lack tact in our relationships with others are some of the issues this position suggests. With this position, we easily crack under imagined pressures, and we are too often in a hurry for fear that our freedom will be curtailed if we stop long enough to gather facts and consider the details of everyday life. We need to learn to listen to others so that we discover the value of true communication and exchange, and to see both sides of a situation instead of throwing out dogma at others. We want to have meaningful and intelligent exchanges with others, and we want to teach others as well. But in order for us to succeed with these things, we need to learn that true learning and exchanges can only come when we listen to others. Learning to slow down, to be sensitive to social graces and networks, and to sensitize ourselves to others' needs and communications without fear of being tied down, will release us from some of our nervous tension and help us achieve more happiness and inner balance. " Say Whut!? :(

  • North Node in Gemini --- This is a life time where you are destined to communicate and often be a writer, beginning with a journalistic approach and often developing into publishing and editing. You can become quite famous in the areas of television and radio, because of your ability to communicate. The Gemini North Node is often a great student in many areas and has difficulty deciding on which area will be the most important to advance into higher learning. This individual also likes to talk on the phone and has complete knowledge of all the latest gadgets for communication. Travel in short distances may be a strong trait, meaning travel within a distance of 1,000 miles may be part of one's vocation, selling, communicating or just transporting. This is a flexible and also multitalented position.
South Node in Sagittarius --- There were many past lives where this individual was in a highly intellectual position and was off putting to others due to the nature of the intelligence. You could have been a priest, philosopher, even a gypsy, talented in the arts. This time there may be problems in all of the above areas, in studies and in becoming more knowledgeable. You may have karma when it comes to getting your projects off the ground, due to your 'holier than thou' attitude in past lives. You may have served in regal conditions and know the ins and outs of royalty or the masters of court policy, including political maneuvering. The need to travel and see the world is important to you, but somehow there are always interferences and something stops you. You may have great difficulty with the lower body and especially in the legs as karma often settles in the body when the issues are not being addressed.

HEAD CENTER
Head is the center of inspiration, thinking and mental pressure. Having it undefined means that most of your thoughts, questions as well as your inspiration come from outside. That's why you constantly think about things that don't matter (to you) and why your head is full of questions. Trying to answer them all creates a lot of mental pressure. You can learn to have questions without the need to answer them.
Ask yourself from time to time: Am I thinking about things that don't matter? Am I still trying to answer everybody else's questions?
Potential wisdom of the open Head: I know which questions are important for me to think about or not. I know who and what is inspiring for me and I am free of mental pressure.

AJNA CENTER
Ajna is the center of research, thought processing and analysis. Having it undefined means that you have no consistency in the way that thoughts are accessed and processed. Your thought process is conditioned from the outside. Feeling uncertain about your capacity to communicate and express ideas, you compensate by pretending to be certain - the one who knows and hates to look foolish.
Ask yourself from time to time: Am I still trying to convince everyone that you're certain?
Potential wisdom of the open Ajna: I am OK with not being certain. Great flexibility and thus creativity of thought process.

THROAT CENTER
Throat is the center of communication and manifestation (action). Having it undefined means that you have no consistency - and at the same time great flexibility - in expressing yourself. The need to attract attention by talking. Useful tip: don't be the first one to talk.
Ask yourself from time to time: Am I still trying to attract attention?
Potential wisdom of the open Throat: I don't have to ‘do' anything to attract attention. It happens when it is correct for me.

G CENTER
G is the center of identity, direction if life and love (center of the spiritual heart in the middle of the chest). You don't know who you are, where is your life is going (direction) and don't always get the love you need (not knowing who to love). You can trust that life will guide you by following your Strategy & Authority. Only be in a place that you like, be it your home, city, restaurant or office.
Ask yourself from time to time: Am I still looking for love, for yourself and your direction in life?
Potential wisdom of the open G: I no longer look for love, my life, direction and self ‘out there'. By living according to my design, love comes to me and I know the next step to take when the time is right.

EGO / HEART CENTER (this center has two names)
Ego is the center of ego and willpower, self worth/self-esteem and survival in the material world. Having it undefined means that there is no consistency in applying your will power. That leads to lower self-esteem and underestimating yourself. You try to overcompensate this by being competitive, in control and proving your worth to others and yourself. Don't make any promises.
Ask yourself from time to time: Do I still have something to prove? (i.e. are you smart enough, good enough, trustworthy, loyal, successful, sexy, etc.)
Potential wisdom of the open Ego: I have nothing to prove.

SPLEEN CENTER
Spleen is the center of intuition, instinct, survival and well being. Having it undefined means that you are open to all kinds of fears and you hold onto things that are no longer good for you. You have a weaker immune system, which makes you sensitive to your body and potentially good at seeing the health of others. It's easy for you to get addicted to the “good” feeling others bring you. Spontaneity can easily create problems for you.
Ask yourself from time to time: Am I still holding onto what's not good for you? (i.e. relationships, jobs, places, things)
Potential wisdom of the open Spleen: I knowing what is healthy for me or not and I can let go of what doesn't serve me.

SACRAL CENTER
Sacral is the center of vitality, sexuality and persistence. Having it undefined means that you don't have a consistent access to vitality, you can easily exhaust yourself. Not knowing when enough is enough, you tend to overdo things (work, eating, anything). Remember, you are not here to work, but potentially to guide others in how to work, rather than actually doing it all yourself. Go to bed as soon as you are tired.
Ask yourself from time to time: Do I know when enough is enough?
Potential wisdom of the open Sacral: I know when enough is enough.

SOLAR PLEXUS CENTER
Solar Plexus is the center of emotions and moods. Having it undefined means that you are very sensitive to emotions, open to the emotions of others as you take them in and feel twice as strong. This leads to strategy of avoiding conflicts and unpleasant truths. Living a secret life. It is best to avoid all emotional decisions.
Ask yourself from time to time: Am I still avoiding confrontation and truth?
Potential wisdom of the open Solar Plexus: I can experience the full spectrum of emotions and survive.

ROOT CENTER
Root is the center of physical pressure (adrenalin), drive to do things and kundalini energy. Having it undefined means that you do things as fast as you can and work hard, in an effort to get rid of the pressure (that never goes away). You have the potential to be naturally still and allow the pressure to flow through you without acting upon it. Following your strategy brings you the correct pressure and protects you from the pressure that would harm you.
Ask yourself from time to time: Am I still in a hurry to be free (of the pressure)?
Potential wisdom of the open Root: I know what pressure is correct for me or not.

Can astrology predict death?

Can astrology predict death?
This weekend someone tragically died in my family.  I went to look at their chart and nothing was travelling through the 8th house of death or impacting if by other aspects.  However, I looked at progressions and this person had 4 planets in the 8th house by progression (venus, sun, mars, mercury), as well as progressed chiron return.  However, looking at these factors may only be myths.

  • Having a 8th hse progressed Sun means: "You are searching for some meaning in your life right now. All areas of your life are subject to this scrutiny, but particularly your significant partnerships, either personal or business. It is also possible that you join groups or begin studies that help you understanding the deeper meaning of life. The spiritual side of life may draw your attention. "
  • Having an 8th house progressed Venus means: "Obsession, pain and loss are common experiences when Venus is operating through the 8th House"
  • Having an 8th house progress Mars means: "When Mars is operating through the 8th House a person's will is eroded to a greater or lesser degree by the conflict between head and the heart. In this process his emotional and sexual needs will frustrate the efforts he considers he should be making in order to move his life on."
It may be easier to view the indicators of death from grieving loved one's charts:
"According to Astrologers the potential for death can be gleaned from a chart and that certain markers can be identified which point to a life-threatening time. There is in fact historical evidence that ancient astrologers believed this to be the case. The Greeks who were extremely pragmatic regarding death actually had a whole chapter of the Tetrabiblos dedicated to calculating "The Length of Life". There are modern astrologers however who will argue that death leaves no markers in the native's chart because death is a non-traumatic transition --like walking across a threshold -- and that therefore it can better be detected through a loved-one's chart as a grieving period ."  source

Mars is currently transiting my 8th house.  And the Sun and Saturn are both squared my 8th house.

My progressed moon is in the 8th also:
"You become more aware of hidden facets of yourself- especially ones that need attention. You notice where you sabotage yourself. Issues between yourself and others, especially ones involving money and /or power come to a head, requiring confrontation to transform. "

My mother, who is also grieving, has Pluto and Chiron progressed in her 8th.

By the way, most astrologers will not do a chart to predict someone's death.

Sacred Geometry

From Initiation by Elisabeth Haich, p. 229

"This divine state in which the creator recognizes himself may also be expressed symbolically by numbers:  God in his state of resting within himself is 1 in 3 and 3 in 1.  1 and 3 are still an unseparated unity.
In the field of geometry, the form of the equilateral triangle is the symbolic image of God in which the recognizer, the recognized and the recognition are one and the same: 1 in 3 and 3 in 1.

Every form is the manifestation of the force that has built it.  Thus every form is the image of the creative force that builds it and dwells within it.  Divinity in its primordial state of resting within itself, always manifest itself in the form of a triangle.  The triangle represents perfect harmony and perfect equilibrium as its three corner points all lie exactly the same distance from each other.

On the other hand, when the aspect of God to which we refer as "resting within itself" moves out of the dimensionless state, beyond time and space and into the three dimensions, it becomes the creative aspect of God and always manifests itself as the number 4.  As long as the numbers 1 and 3 form a unity in the divine, they remain 3 in 1 and 1 in 3.  But when they emerge from the divine condition of unity, they separate, and out of the "1 in 3" emerges "1 and 3", and that makes 4.  The equilateral triangle contains, hidden within itself, 4 smaller equilateral triangles...

Now try to imagine how the first energy of manifestation emerges out of the dimesionless state into the three dimensions... In order for a force to emerge from the dimensionless state and manifest itself, it needs a point of departure.  A point is dimensionless, has not yet emerged from unity, but is necessary for manifestation.  Because a point consists of only one single factor, it bears within itself the number of unity, the number 1.

When the force whose first manifestation was a point emerges from the dimensionless state and is effective for a period of time, the point moves and forms a line...

The first dimension, length, is born.  In its essence, the line is endless and thus, as a first manifestion, also represents the number 1.  But in the world of manifestations, the world where everything always has a beginning and an end, a line is always bound to involve three factors, its starting point, its end point, and the intervening space between the two.  Thus the line represents the number 3, the key number for the 1-dimensional world.

...there is no possibility of manifesting or finding a number 2 in unity.  As a matter of fact, after the first manifestation of the point, which represents only 1 single factor, we immediately jumped to three factors - without the number 2.  When a point moves, no matter how little, to form even the tiniest, shortest line, we're already dealing with the 3 factors not 2.  A line in infinity of course, represents the number 1; but when it has a beginning and end, it automatically represents the number 3.

In order for the number 2 to arise, there has to be a splitting of unity.  The number 2 can only be born when two units are set beside each other.  But inasmuch as nothing has any real existence outside unity, unity must project a reflection outside itself.  Thus there arises a fission, a separation, which means the death of unity.  That's why the word for "doubt" - which represents a kind of cleavage within one's mind and soul - is so closely related to the word for 2.  This is true in every language.

...how the second dimension arises from the first:  a line consists of a series of points.  Assuming the creative energy is active in each of these points with the same force and for the same period of time, each of these points moves outward from itself into the second dimension; each of them becomes a line, and out of the totality of these lines a plane is created: An equilateral rectangle.

The second dimension - width - is born.

The rectangle is 4 in 1 and 1 in 4 and thus consists of five factors: the four manifested lines:  Line of departure, terminal line, right and left lateral lines, and the fifth factor: the non-manifested area enclosed by these lines.  And so the key number of the two dimensional world is the number 3.

The third dimension is born - height.

The cube is 6 in 1 and 1 in 6 and it consists of seven factors:  the six manifested limiting planes and the seventh, unmanifested factor, its cubic contents.  They key dimension of the three-dimensional world is the number 7.
