May 19, 2015 to June 11, 2015: Mercury Retrograde in Gemini
"The last major transit in the first half of the year of the 2015 astrological forecast is the Mercury retrograde in Gemini that occurs between May 19, 2015 and June 11, 2015. Again, Mercury retrograde is going to be providing you with confusion and delays in areas that Mercury rules. These include, short journeys, communications, communication devices, travel plans, anything that requires or needs the delivery of messages. Gemini is ruled by Mercury making this retrograde all the more intense!

The only way you can prevent mishaps from happening to you in this one is just by being prepared. Mercury Retrograde in Gemini

Here's a bit of a downer about this transit, don't freak out!
"Gemini is the house of communication. When Mercury goes retrograde in this house a sort of fluid situation is reached where hell breaks lose in matters of communication. All judgements made during this time would be vague and unclear. Frustrations creep in as all ambitions and plans are put to the back burner. Those more likely to suffer are those directly dealing with people like salespersons, lawyers, advisors and consultants. This is a good time to take a vacation or go in for a massage or a time to chill out with friends."

But the most important thing to consider is the houses in your natal chart that contain the retrograde, as well as any planets that might be within the degree span.

Mercury Stationary Retrograde in 6th: House The next three weeks could easily throw some kinks into your schedule and make your routine suddenly non-routine. You have the opportunity now to iron out the wrinkles that may have been bothering you but which were somehow still left unattended. You may be wise to put great leaps forward temporarily on the backburner until you are sure there is nothing to trip you up along your way when you make your moves. This may result in coming to some re-conclusions about how and with whom you deploy your creative juices. Listen to that inner voice to make sure you heard it right, then get back into gear.

Mercury Stationary Direct in 6th House: Hectic reduplication, delays, and scheduling confusions will be straightening themselves out after a few weeks of necessary resorting. All that remains is to put the finishing touches on new approaches and link them all up with others who may be involved. Missed or mixed up messages are resented or clarified so everybody is back on the same page and agrees upon what the next step is going to be. A general sense of well-being supplants a certain unease born of uncertainty and you get back to your healthy glow born of knowing where you've been and focus on where you're going.

What is happening at the lunations?

Every new moon (and full moon) is different because it falls in a different sign.  When the moon is new it is in the same sign as the Sun because, by definition, they are conjunct and the moon is between the earth and the sun.  When the moon is full it is in the opposite sign from the Sun because, by definition, they are the farthest from each other, with the earth between them.

"This is the best time of the month to observe faint objects such as galaxies and star clusters because there is no moonlight to interfere."



Elsa points out that Mars is very near the Sun Moon conjunction.

What house is this moon occurring in for your natal chart?

So an important thing to consider is the house in your natal chart where the lunation is falling, as well as any planets that might be nearby.

From the New Moon, through the First Quarter Moon until the Full Moon, the moon is said to be waxing, which means the light is increasing.  From the Full Moon, through the Last Quarter Moon until the next New Moon, the moon is said to be waning, or reducing in light.
Balsamic Moon: 10 ½ days after the Full Moon, up to the New Moon, or 2.5 days before.  So we are entering the Balsamic Phase soon.  "If this is your Moon phase, you see in the dark. You're at home when enveloped in mysteries, especially the ultimate mystery - death. Your life purpose is to tie up loose ends, and create a nutrient-rich environment for the new to germinate."

When the Moon is in Scorpio
Intensity is what the Moon in Scorpio is all about. Whether it's passion, elation, sorrow, or desire, emotions are felt on a deeply personal level. We are motivated by the desire to get to the bottom of things, and we instinctively read between the lines. Superficiality won't work for us now. The Moon in Scorpio urges us to uncover our own power, and it's an excellent time to rid ourselves of old fears and limiting habits. It can be an intimate and passionate time. Avoid manipulative tactics, brooding, and suspiciousness. The Moon in Scorpio generally favors the following activities: Taxes, accounting, intimacy issues, psychological examinations, research, self-examination, getting rid of old things.

You've been focusing on what brings you pleasure—your hobbies, romantic activities, and so forth. Now you realize that the role you play in others' lives (as a spouse, parent, friend) is an important element in your overall happiness. You're looking for validation from friends and group activities now. You may be called upon to perform a humanitarian gesture. For example, a friend may experience a little crisis and asks for your help. You may suddenly find yourself around many people, perhaps after a period of relative solitude or private time.

When the Moon is Full in Scorpio, we are oriented towards deep exploration, and you should see some of your intentions set at the previous new moon come to fruition.
